Holiday Stage 1 - Singapore
After a great send off at Heathrow from our friends Gill and Dave - also (Nikki and Ian who surprised us by waiting for us at the airport - a 150 round trip for them!) we flew to Singapore.
This is now our first day and although totally wiped out last night, seem not be be suffering too much from jet lag today. Didn't really sleep much on the plane, so I slept pretty well last night - Jill woke up at 4am and didn't get back to sleep after that.
Doing the touristy bits already - Chinatown excursion tonight, Singapore Zoo tomorrow morning with the Night Safari tomorrow night!
Spending money we haven't got on an MP3 player for Jill and a silk kimono for both me and Jill!
Weather pretty humid but not to hot - a lot of thunder around but as yet little or no rain. My phone doesn't seem to work but Jill's does - not sure if that's a good thing or not???
